Good Morning Dave Wav

Hi guys, right now I'm starting to think about localisation of my app. There seems to be a pretty good tutorial on how to change text, labels etc. Based on localised resources - all that basically happens on the 'XAML-level' of the app rather than in the code-behind.

That's rock solid, no doubt. Also, I understand that this is the way to do it and how it is intended by MS! Wherever possible in my app I will follow that approach. However, I need to make decisions in my code behind based on the language the program is running in.

Dragon Bones and Update 17 Preview. An ancient power re-awakens and threatens all of Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online's newest DLC game pack, Dragon Bones. Elder scrolls tamriel unlimited walkthrough.

Let me give you a brief example of what I'd like to achieve with some pseudo-code: If ('language-is-german') Then start an audiostream playing a.wav-file saying 'Guten morgen lieber Benutzer!!!' Dim intErgebnis As Integer = 2 + 4 ElseIf ('language-is-english') Then start an audiostream playing a.wav-file saying 'Good morning dear user!!!' Dim intResult As Integer = 2 + 9 EndIf The basic idea is to play different sound files (I know that you could also achieve that by pointing to different resources). I added the calculation just to show you that I really want to do different things based on the language set up on the user's computer. How can I check for that in my code behind (i.e. What do I have to type instead of ('language-is-german') in my pseudo-code above?)???
