Condition: Good. Second Edition, 1916. This early 20th-century edition has been rebound by a previous owner (but likely before 1950). The Studies have been arranged by Heinrich Germer in systematic order with critically revised text, fingering, and expression marks, plus a 5-page Preface (in German and English).
CONTENTS: Part I - 50 small Studies for the upper Elementary grade (drawn from Opp. 261, 821, 599 and 139). Part II - 32 Studies for the lower Middle grade (drawn from Opp.
829, 849, 335 and 636). 98 + i-vii pages. CONDITION: The simple re-binding (card stock with cloth spine) is somewhat worn, sunned, and discolored, with a couple edge chips and a 1.5-inch tear at the bottom of the front spine edge. The score pages are age-tanned and slightly brittle - mainly at the very front and back.
There are some penciled annotations here and there - mostly in Part I. This remains a quite respectable, serviceable copy - now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.
